SSA Roadmap
Hello again,
Apologies for the lack of updates the past two weeks - school starting up again hit us harder than we were expecting.
There's no update this week either, but we don't want to go completely silent, so we're presenting a brief overview for our plans for SSA's future:
Version a.1.x - The next major update, which we are currently working on and are hoping to release soon, will consist of a redesign of the game's core gameplay loop in order to make it less repetitive.
The existing wave-based gameplay will be broken up by segments of exploring the world, which will eventually be filled by various interactable objects and events.
Version a.2.x - Following a.1.0 and its following quick fixes, we are planning to introduce the game's minibosses, which will challenge the player but come with useful rewards.
Version a.3.x - And after the introduction of minibosses, we will create the game's first proper boss fight, which will eventually be a key to progressing through the game.
We do not have any formal plans beyond a.3.x, but we are planning to include at least one additional dimension, acting as the next stage of progression after defeating the first boss, as well as different challenges to further vary the gameplay experience.
